Fuck this new layout

I seriously cannot find anything.   I hate it. I hate it hate it.

So yeah anyways….

Basically we are at the part where Liz gets on my nerves.  She knew what was up for and it took one drink and half a nice sentence and she was all oh it’s us against the world, me and my rapist serial killer dreamboat ❤  Trust me, we’ll come back to this later where you guys are gonna be like hmmmmm.

New year!  Hey you guys, can I get mushy for a second and say how much I appreciate all of you.  I really do.  It’s been really fun posting this book and discussing it. I’m in  a discussion with a group about the Avery case. I think about how easy Ted fit into the real world.  He held a job.  Mostly.  He was social.  He was likable.  So I could see how most people need to see a real “monster” to believe someone could burn a woman’s body to smithereens.

Ugh I watched Nancy Grace for the first time since forever. I quit soon after Casey went free.  Nancy went into a tailspin.  I really feel like she taints fresh cases.  Media spin is powerful.  She does not use that with great responsibility.  She’s still a drunk twatwaffle. But she had Jodi on, sort of.  It looked to kind of be a short interview with Jodi? It wasn’t live.  It wasn’t much new stuff. We knew Avery and Jodi had DV stuff going on.  He threatened to kill his ex-wife in a letter to his kids so I wouldn’t be shocked if he told Jodi the same thing.

The case that broke my heart and my blog

Casey Anthony.

I know, right? But there’s a rumor going around that NBC is sniffing for an interview from her. I am pretty freaking livid right now. That monster should NOT EVER profit from her crime. EVER. And NBC? If it’s that little twatwaffle Matt, that’s just…ugh!

The verdict in her case broke my heart. I kind of lost the heart to blog because I’d blogged pretty heavily about the trial. I didn’t and couldn’t get attached to another case like that. So I took a break. And came back to post the Ted book.

I hope to get back into blogging new cases soon. I’m obsessed with anything Serial. It would be fun to rehash some older cases.

Thank you guys for your patience. I had a sudden death in the family. It’s the first time I’ve had to feel like a grownup at a funeral. Proofing things and making decisions. That was kind of scary to have ‘the kids’ in charge. We survived it and we are all working on getting back to normal.

I have to give an extra special shout out to Big Fan for the kitty please gif. Points, my friend! That made me smile!

So put your mittens around your kittens and away we go!

Let Them Eat Cake

Wolfram & Hart keeps me busy these days.  I feel like it consumes my life but you have to work to live.

Work does have some perks.  I’m in an area where I meet a lot of people.  I ended up with the forensic computer files that belong to one Casey Anthony.  If this were a book, this would be the part of the story where things got really interesting and good.  But because it’s real life, honestly, those files didn’t say anything the general public didn’t already know.  Casey doesn’t hide the fact that she wasn’t real thrilled playing the mommy role.  She was young and she wanted to do what young people do.  Not shocking.  The quality of the files told me more about the prosecution.  Some was unreadable, some was unorganized.  For such a big case, I would have expected more.  Then again, I’m not sure that I have the complete files in the first place.  But what I did read, it wasn’t real earth shattering.

I think it’s time to call it.  I don’t think we will ever know the entire story of Caylee’s last days.  To each generation is born a mystery.   From Etan Patz to JonBenet to Caylee.

I’m seriously considering putting the Ted book on here.  I’ve had it for 8 years now and there doesn’t seem to be any plan to reprint it.  What’s the worst that could happen?  Some random lawyer fusses at me to take it down? It’s obvious that people really want to read it.

What the what?

Suddenly, Casey’s “bombshell” video got released.  You know, the one that shows her reaction to them finding Caylee’s body.  Way to be, media!  Why in the crap should anyone care?  In the state’s scenario, Casey killed Caylee.  In the defense’s scenario, Casey knew Caylee drowned in the pool.  Either way, Casey knew Caylee was dead.  So who cares about the horrible quality, no sound video?  Really media?  Really?

I refused to watch the Anthony’s on Dr. Phil.  First, I think those parents are complete assfaces.  Second, Dr. Phil is a big moron.  Doctor of what?  Being a twat?  Boom roasted!  But I did see news articles where Cindy changed her story about 50 times during it.  The apple and the tree and all that jazz.

Onward to bigger news.  I’d followed a case for like 18 years and thanks to modern technology and the magic of mass information being available, I’m finally getting the chance to pick through real documents, real records and real information.  I’ve also experienced a first of changing my mind on a case.  What the what?!

The West Memphis Three.  For a long time, I was on the supporter band wagon.  I know what the south is like for anyone who is different.  Even back then, the forensics was lacking so much.  I knew that there wasn’t much blood at the crime scene.   I knew they’d confessed.  I watched the documentaries. A few years ago, I tried talking to some message board people to actually have a conversation about the forensics and the forensics alone.  To gain perspective.  I guess even then I just had that unresolved feeling.  I needed to know more.  I felt like there was more to the case. But take a look around, both sides are complete nutters.  No one can hold a conversation without name calling.  That’s sad.

Lucky they were trying to gain their freedom which meant tons of people adding documents online.  And since their release, I’ve had some time to read over some of it.  A lot of it actually.  On top of watching and reading some of the interviews.  At some point, I’ll make a snazzy list backed up with facts to support my opinion.  So until then, I won’t get into the nitty gritty.  Bottom line….I think they did it.  I think three child killers walked out of prison.  Not all killers go on to kill more people.  I knew a professor that rehabilitated an ax murderer.  You’d think that type of killer would be fairly far gone.  What kind of person would even attempt to do that, you know?  But my professor was the most bad ass of bad ass doctors and yada yada yada, no more ax murdering.

I think it’s 50/50 though.  For every chance that they won’t re-offend, there’s an equal chance that they will.  Ted Bundy fell into the latter category.  He escaped how many times and killed again and again.  But say Pauline Parker and Juliet Hulme, neither killed anyone else.  They beat Pauline’s mother with a brick in a sock.  That takes some rage.  One is a writer and the other runs a children’s riding school.  Mary Bell killed two boys at the tender age of ten and eleven and she’s now a grandmother.

With the human race, everything is pretty much a coin toss.

I plan on posting more but Wolfram & Hart is hitting a busy season and a girl has to pay her bills.  They seem to be never ending.  And some of those bitches require checks.  It’s like, get with the online credit card accepting world please?  Plus I really need that new Jackie O  book.  My grandmother said she was a complete whore but she’s an idol in my eyes.  I watched the special.  I’m in awe of her.

Miss me?

I haven’t forgotten about my kick ass blog here! I just started a new job and training was really intense.  So if you hear me mention Wolfram and Hart, that’s my job.  That’s not really where I work but I know better than to post all my business online.  I mean, I thought we had freedom of speech and all that jazz but who knows these days.

Color me impressed that a certain most hated woman in America can stay hidden for this long.  I doubt that will be forever.  George and Cindy already sold out to Dr. Phil.  Boy is that guy a complete waste of space.  Doctor of what?  Being a lame douche?  From what I’ve read, they say Caylee drowned while Casey had a seizure.  And the seizures made it where she couldn’t tell reality from fiction.  And boy do they have the red ass that Jesse Grund wants to write a book.  They all need to go away.  Get real jobs and perhaps give back to the community that rallied and searched for their granddaughter instead of traveling around giving interviews and changing their story a million times.

The West Memphis Three was released!  This is a case I’d followed since I was very young and while I’m beyond glad they are out, I think it’s horrible that they had to plead guilty.  DNA proved who the killer was.  It’s a great case to research but don’t get too wrapped up in some of the message boards because there’s some whackadoodles out there.  Pay attention to the forensics.

9/11 is on all of our minds this weekend.  How could it not?  It’s been 10 years.  But please, don’t be one of those people who copy and paste some lame message.  Take the time to write a PERSONAL message thanking the men and women who risked or lost their lives and the families of those.  Even if no one sees it, it’s the right thing to do.  And also, take the time to think about the people who got caught in the aftermath of that horrible day.  People who practiced religions that the attackers practiced but had nothing to do with 9/11.  People who shared the same physical features.  People who were sent away and bad things happened to them because a small group of extremists decided we were  the enemy.  Remember that Islamic Extremists is to Islam as the KKK is to Christianity.  It’s not an entire country, it’s not an entire religion.  It’s a group of people who are bat shit nutters that hate us and what we stand for.

I was a college freshman that day.  I woke up to all the tvs being on in my apartment.  I couldn’t even comprehend what was happening.  I don’t think anyone could.  Even the people right there watching probably thought, “is this really happening?”  The images that terrifies me the most are the ones of people jumping.  I watched part of a documentary tonight that showed pictures of the people in mid jump.  Tasteless in my opinion but I’m just one person.  I watched a show about the people on the flights.  The parents who were on the phone with their son when the plane hit.  His last soft words of “oh my god, oh my god.”  With his wife and baby at his side.  Because the second flight into the towers…they’d hijacked for almost 20 minutes.  20 minutes doing something fun, it goes by so fast.  20 minutes of being terrified probably felt like days.  Seeing that you are going to fly into a building at a high speed…I cannot begin to think about what their son went through.  And how they literally watched it happen on the news while they were talking to him.

Tragedy is not racist.  It’s not sexist.  It touches lives at every age, every income level, every religion.  My hope for us and our world is that we remember this and learn compassion.  It’s easy to get frustrated and angry.  It’s harder to take the time and remember that we are all just human.  We all have stories.

Long Time No See-Plus a Ted Update

Because life feels empty without bringing up the C word.  No, not that C word.  The Casey word.  The news is saying they are recalling her back to Florida for the money stealing case.  I’m not quite sure what’s going on there.  I know if you are on probation or parole, you have restrictions put on you and it’s possible you might have to stay in a certain area but honestly, it’s been nice not having to deal with her in the news every 2 seconds.

I’m sure Nancy DisGrace is doing shots to celebrate the fact that she might be able to scream about this case again since Casey would be stalked by the media.  But I don’t think it’s in anyone’s best interest to bring her back into the spotlight.  Baez has put out some false stories here and there.  They’ve mostly been ignored.  I think the big networks understand how people will be angry about this case for a very long time.  Look how long OJ waited to put out his book and how that went down.  Baez leaked that he was being courted by NBC, CBS and ABC.  To keep the story going or to drum up interest, who knows.

Another story said Casey was getting the mental help she needs to deal with all that has happened.  That she now realizes her actions after Caylee died were wrong.  Sure.  I think a publicist put those words in her mouth because that girl is not capable of thinking outside of herself.  She’s just one of those people.

And I bet you are sitting on the edge of your seat, waiting to hear what good ol George and Cindy are up to. Why, they are jetting down to go on vacation….in a private jet.  It’s the only way to go for a couple who has lost their granddaughter and their daughter.  And you wonder why Casey turned out the way she did.  Of course, Cindy needed a vacation.  She was simply exhausted after spending the entire trial making notes for her book.  For a couple that claimed to get death threats, they sure have no problem going on vacation.  Gotta keep their name in the news too to drum up interest in Cindy’s inevitable book.

*For the readers who have been interested in my Ted Bundy post, there’s breaking news!  Ted’s blood has been found and they’ll be adding it to the DNA database and we might actually see some cold cases closed from this.  Ted claimed a much higher number than authorities could confirm and this could prove whether or not he was telling the truth.  And most importantly, this could bring closure to families waiting to hear what happened to their beautiful daughters, mothers, aunts, cousins, friends and sisters.   Ted was a force to be reckoned with.  The fact that he could snatch women that were within feet of their homes is so scary to me.  I am quite happy about this development.  Cold cases seem to get forgotten.  People are so into what’s happening right now, they forget that for the one case they are watching, there’s hundreds of others with no closure and no outcome and no answers.  And no justice.

And Now She’s Free

Well, Casey Anthony is a free woman.  She walked out of jail into the world and now, only time will tell.  Will she collect the million dollar check?  Will she cash in on her daughter’s death?  Will she fade into history, never to be heard from again?

Everyone knows her face.  Everyone knows her story.  So unless she gets some major plastic surgery, which cannot be done unless she makes money, it’s doubtful that she could live a peaceful life.  There’s a whole lot of hatred going around right now.  Even though she’s free, it’s pretty obvious that freedom doesn’t really mean much.  For someone who has been locked up for 3 years, it’s not like she can go to a Mcdonald’s for some fries and a Big Mac without people whipping out their cell phones.  Or worse.  Judging just by the small sampling of Facebook status messages, a lot of America is wishing her harm right now.

No, I suppose she isn’t free.  That’s her punishment for what she did.  Even if Caylee drowned accidentally, she took away a search team that turned down other cases, that could have found other children.  She occupied police and FBI when there are so many other children missing, truly missing, truly in harms way, truly in danger.  But people were busy on her word that Caylee had been taken.  And worse case senario, if she did kill her daughter (which is what I believe), I think it’s a fitting punishment that she can be free without really being free.  Instead of sitting in jail, getting candy and treats from donated money, she’ll have to fend for herself.  She’ll have to make her own way in the world with millions hating her and wishing her gone.  She’ll never be able to go out in public without wondering if one of her haters would be there to hurt her.

The other side of the Casey coin is her partner in crime, Jose Baez.  It’s no doubt that he’ll cash in on this case.  He’s creepy and smirky.  I feel a little like he’s talking up the death threats.  If Casey is getting threats and her parents are getting threats and the jury is getting threats, why isn’t he?  He’s sure able to speak for Casey.  He was the one who picked her up from jail.   Milking that cow for all it’s worth, I guess.

I hope some good will come out of this case.  I hope there’s a salary cap on how much lawyers can make off of cases.  The tax payers have to pay millions to cover Casey’s trial.  I’m also concerned about how much expert witnesses make.  I really wish any expert witness that testified about a client would have to have a mandatory minimum of visits before they got on the stand and acted like they knew what the defendant was thinking.   If they are going to get hundreds of dollars an hour, they should have to work for it.  I don’t think it should take three years to go to trial.  I don’t think they should allow the public to line up for tickets like they are going to a circus either.

But for now…we wait.
